The band was formed in November 2002 by Dimitris(bass guitar), Antonis(guitar) and Ira(vocals,keyboards) named after Lilith of the eastern mythology...The starting members soon begun rehearsing and composing while participating in several live gigs in Athens.
The first Avith promo album was recorded in 2004 at the Fragile Studios sound-engineered,mixed and mastered by Vangelis Yalamas.That was the beggining of an efficient long-term cooperation!
The band participated in Pop&Rock music contest's finals in March 2004.
After many line-up changes [ Sotiris(drums,2002-2003), Antonis(bass guitar,2003- ...), Manos(drums,2003-2005),
Panagiotis(drums,2005-2007), George(2008-2009)] the band is currently consisted of Stratos(drums),Antonis (bass guitar)Tony (guitar) and Ira (vocals,keyboards).
A year and a half ago the band's name changed into "Avith"!
In December of 2008 Avith signed with Emotion Art Music Ltd!
Avith's debut album,"Heir of Agitation", was released in November of 2009.
