Burgundy Grapes

We started playing instrumental music together a little over a decade ago, at our homes in Athens, Greece. From the very beginning, we’ve never really discussed the music we make, want to make, or try to make, but the process has, in an inexplicable way, felt focused. We released a home-recorded, self-financed, self-titled debut album early in 2005 on Ektopia/Outlandish, a tiny and now-defunct Athenian label that was originally launched as a parallel venture of the Small Music Theatre, a local hub for various types of alternative music, domestic and imported. We released a limited-edition and sparser-than-usual sounding EP, "Lagero", on the Triple Bath label in February, 2009.
