Convixion

Conviction were formed in year 2002 by ex-Strikelight's (at that time) guitarist Nick Papakostas, Strikelight's Vocalist (at that time) Dionisis Sarakinis and Stelios Makris. Vaggelis Felonis (Overcast) joined the band.They participated at many festivals such as Kallithea's "Heavy Metal Invasion", Crossroads (Onoma tou Rodou Club), Ston Aera Club, Moschato Music Festival and others...During 2002 and 2003 many changes appeared in the band's line-up...Nick left the band to rejoin Strikelight and Conviction played for the last time at the end of 2003...Back to the year 2006 and during Strikelight's rehearsals Nick and Manos (Strikelight's drummer - then...) jammed some riffs...After five minutes a song was composed...It was very fast and furious to be a Strikelight song. So Nick recorded this song for fun. The lyrics were inspired by Eat Metal Records philosophy. It was titled "Drink Metal". Truly accidentally Greg Varsamis (Eat Metal Records) heard the song. Through Greg a lot of people heard the song and the comments were very encouraging.
