Biography

Anestis Delias (also known as artemis) was born in Smyrni(Izmir) at 1912.
He came to athens with his family at 1922, after the greek-turkish war.
He was part of the "great piraeus quartet" (I tetrada tou peiraia) along with Markos Vamvakaris, Giorgos Batis and Stratos Pagioumtzis.
He recorded only 11 songs, since he stopped recording after the censorship of 1937.
One of his girlfriend was giving him heroin while he was sleeping.
Anestis got addicted to it and died by it in 1944.
