Giannikos Tasos

Tasos Giannikos was born in Montreal of Canada in 1975. In his early years he came to Greece and he is living ever after in Peristeri of Athens. He has studied classical guitar and he has degree in harmony, counterpoint and fuga. In 2007 he gained his Diploma in Composition. He also plays electric guitar, bass and a Greek folk music instrument named outi.
****He is working as a guitar teacher in music schools and in private lessons since 1995. At the same period he started working as a musician in nightclubs and restaurants.
****In 2002 he formed the guitar duet "ZNTOUP" with Dimitris Oulis and they played in several small stages and clubs in Athens and in some concerts around Greece.
****In the years 2004-2005 he participated in Concerts for Young Greek Composers, organized by “Nikos Skalkotas” School of Music. In 2004 with “Three Views for String Trio” (three parts piece for violin-viola-cello) and in 2005 with “Letter to George Gershwin” (three parts piece for piano-saxophone).
