Halkidis Stelios

Stelios Halkidis was born in Lefkogeia Drama of Pontian parents in 1973. His first introduction to music was from his great grandfather. He began to play lyra at the age of 12 with his instructor Alekos Kourianidis. The reason Stelios Halkidis began to learn Pontian music and culture is his mother Kyriaki Halkidou. He worships the music of his country and wishes until his old age to spread the culture of Pontos by singing and playing lyra.
