Ilia Darlin is a style icon and powerpop front-woman who after attaining widespread fame in her home country of Greece, is now creating waves on an international scale.
Recent recording ventures have taken Ilia to LA for a collaboration project with Konvict Muzik (co-owned by hip hop singer Akon) and Universal. The series of recordings saw her team up with producer Chris Bolden (En Vogue), Konvict Muzik’s premier act Qwess Kross featured in her song “Bang Bang Bar”, and guest lyricist Andrea Remada (Bryan Adams, Cheryl Cole, kylie Minogue, Mary J. Blige) was drafted in to write the song “Shut Me Down”.
Dubbed as the European answer to Lady Gaga, Ilia has met with widespread adoration for her style, lyricism, and vibrant live performances. Aside from featuring largely in Greek media such as Greek Vogue, MTV, and Ant1, Ilia featured on the cover of trendy London fashion and music publication Super Super Magazine, who described her as “The most exciting thing to come from Mount Olympus since the muses”.
