Biography

In the beginning there was friendship. Then came the love for music, rock 'n roll in particular in the heyday of punk and new wave at the end of the seventies. Then came instruments mainly guitars, and parties and concerts. Then came Migraine -the next step-the first band playing the Athens' new scene in clubs like the legendary Pegasus behind the Exarchia police station. Migraine lasted for three years, then faded to give way to the next step; The JAYWALKERS. The Jaywalkers continued from where Migraine left adding more colours to the two-guitars bass-drums palette using now violin, keyboards and the occasional folk instrument. It was 1986 and the Jaywalkers were playing along artists like the Dream Syndicate,Green on Red the Triffids,Hoodoo Gurus or the Chills. After recording a demo that got a great buzz, they proceeded to release their only official mini-lp with the iconic cover photo and the also iconic cover version of The Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows" .Nowadays the mini lp has a great market value,is highly collectable and has achieved a cult status.
