Kal Drako

Kal Drako was born in Athens, Greece and started playing classical piano when he was 7yrs old. After lots of Bach and Mozart, and moved by his love for Rock music, he started playing Drums. Blessed with incredible teachers that recognized his talent, he spent most of his teenage years practicing and playing with local Rock groups. In 1999 he moved to Los Angeles to study at the LA music academy. The teachers there, changed Kal's musical vision and perspective! Returning to Greece a year later, he started doing session work and live shows with many different successful artists touring Europe and USA. He also stayed very involved in the Jazz scene, and performed or/and recorded with pretty much everyone in and around Athens. In 2004, he packed his suitcase and moved back to LA, where he continued to play with different artists and got to perform with some of his favorite musicians (see on the left). Kal was recently heard on NBC's Brothers and Sisters, and keeps busy performing in and around LA, teaching, enjoying and (still) studying music.
