Kalfa Anna Maria

She was born in Hamburg.

In 1991 she started working as a radio producer. Soon she was trusted with the music supervision of news shows.
Singing ...suddenly crops up and becomes her profession before too long.

Anna – Maria takes courses of classical singing for a short while and starts appearing in music scenes of her native city, performing “laika” and “entehna” songs, genres which would be hard to translate... For the sake of better understanding we would call them “popular” and “popular of artistic quality”.

In 1998 she settles in Athens. It's definitely a milestone year, as soon she will meet some of the greatest names of the greek music scene and will have the chance to work with them.

She sings alongside the -late- legendary Vicky Mosholiou in Athens and Thesaloniki.
The bouzouki virtuoso Thanassis Polykandriotis graces with his accompaniment Anna- Maria's performance in the highly acclaimed Athens “laika” music joint “Harama”.
