Lernea Idra

Iraklis & Lernaia Hydra was formed by Iraklis Triantafyllidis in 1972 and disbanded in 1995, although the band still gives concerts occasionally. The formation of the band changed from time to time, while Iraklis remained the core member. The band’s music belongs to the rock genre with folk/progressive/psychedelic elements. A key characteristic of the band’s sound is the combination of the basic rock instruments (el. guitars, bass and drums) with a wide selection of (mainly) traditional instruments (fife, flute, violin, banjo-mandolin, traditional percussion and others).
