Christos Loulis was born in Athens, where he studied acting at the Greek Art Theatre. He has worked with Greece's top stage directors at the National Theatre and with independent companies, appearing in leading roles in classical and contemporary plays, including Shakespeare's "King Lear", Sarah Kane's "Cleansed", Euripides' "Ion", Goethe's "Clavigo" , V. Kornaros' "Herotocritus", (which earned him the Horn Award as "Best Young Actor" in 2003),Ghoete's "Faust",Euripides' "Alkestes" e.t.c.. Another one of his roles was in "The Swallow Song" a themed performance of selected scenes from ancient drama which was performed at The Getty Center in Los Angeles in 2004 and in the Cohrane Theatre in London in 2006. Christos also had the honour of playing the part of The Lover in the opening ceremony of the Athens Olympic Games in 2004. Smaller parts in films, including DELIVERY by Nikos Panayotopoulos and THINK IT OVER by Katerina Evangelakou, as well as appearances in the short films GOODBYE and INTERIOR WITH WOMAN PEELING APPLES, have won him praise from critics.
