They 're based in the capital of Greece, Athens. The name MENTA
(which means spearmint), was found in the end of 1999, when the three older members (Papadimitriou, Vlahas, Galanis) had done recording the band's debut. They sing in Greek and their lyrics are written by Papadimitriou whereas the music by Vlahas.
They 've put out three albums until today. The first two, through a small but historical Athenian record label named Studio II. Their debut album, "Ston planiti tou Edmoundou" (At Edmund's planet), was released on December 2000 and received enthusiastic reviews by the majority of Greek music magazines and newspapers. Three years later, by the end of 2003, their second album "Se kainourgia banda" (In a new band) came out, in which Menta experimented with new diverse sounds. Their third album released in 2007, with the name "Instrumenta", and includes 15 new songs.
