Modrec

Modrec is an independent rock band from Athens, Greece.
After a long period of experimentation with their music and lyrics, they released their first album “Art Naive” in March of 2008. The album was mixed by Alex Newport in New York and mastered by Jeff Lipton and Maria Rice in Boston. Most of the Greek radio producers and critics loved the album and Modrec are considered to be one of the most respected bands of the Greek Indie culture. Their live shows have received enthusiastic reviews (Sonik music magazine, mixtape.gr, avopolis.gr) and have been broadcasted on national television several times.
In March 2009 Modrec performed live at Stavros tou Notou live club in Athens with special guests the Saint Catherine’s British School Choir. Their innovation to combine 20 children’ s vocals with their noise rock music was much discussed and the concert sold out.
In late 2009 modrec completed the recordings of their second full-length album “Mascaraddiction” released in April of 2010 by the Indie label “Inner Ear".
