Papadopoulou Katerina

Katerina Papadopoulou was born in Athens. At the age of eight she became a member of the choir of I. Tsiamoulis where she attended folk song and Byzantine music lessons. Meeting Christos Tsiamoulis at the age of thirteen she began to study the oud. She continued her studies in Byzantine music with Christos Tsiamoulis and Giannis Arvanitis as her teacher, acquiring her diploma in 1999. She has cooperated with prominent composers and musicians, such as: D. Samiou, Ch. Tsiamoulis, N. Xydakis, Ch. Aidonidis, and P. Thalassinos. She has also cooperated with the Orchestra of Colors, the Hellenic Music Archive, the Hellenic Recording Archive, and others.
