Maria-Christina Papadopoulou began playing music at an early age and subsequently studied the harp professionally. She finished her studies at the "Athenaeum" conservatory and gained her harp diploma. She was then offered an entrance scholarship for the postgraduate diploma in harp performance at the Royal Academy of Music (RAM) and gained her LRAM diploma with distinction.
Maria-Christina has attended several harp master classes in Athens, London, Paris, and Geneva with professors Isabelle Moretti, Isabelle Perrin, Emmanuel Ceysson and Ivan Ion Roncea. She has have also attended music therapy seminars with Simon Procter at the "Nakas" conservatory and with the Hungarian school of Music Therapy, Kodaly. Simultaneously with studying she has been working as a private music teacher and a harpist in orchestras and hotels.
Maria-Christina teaches the piano, harp, and music theory to pupils of all ages. She has played in many orchestras such as the "National Orchestra of Greece", "Youth Symphony Orchestra of Athens"(A.
