Sophia Rapti was born in N.Y., USA where she lived up to her 13th birthday.
She then moved to Greece where she finished high school and later studied classical music at the National Conservatory of Greece. There she acquired two certificates (one as a vocalist and one as a pianist). Along with her studies, because of her knowledge of the English language and her love for modern American music, she never lost interest in rock, jazz, blues and pop music. Her first attempt as a professional singer and musician was her cooperation with Vangelis Germanos, whom she sang and played the piano with in concerts all over Greece.
At two of those concerts they had the privilege of being the support group to Bob Dylan during his performances in Greece in Patra and Athens. This gave her the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people. She also took part in the album entitled “Yupi Ya” where she sang a duet with Vangelis ( a song called “Sagapo Sagapo”) and of course all the backing vocals.
