Stavrakakis Vasilis

Mihalis Stavrakakis was born at the village Armanogia Monofatsiou and was raised in Anogia. He learnt from a very young age to understand and appreciate the wealth and potentials of the Cretan dialect for ones artistic expression.
As a spirit that never rests, he has worked with many known and talented artists in music halls, glenti (massive gatherings of people at the village square where food, wine, Cretan music and dancing are the protagonists) as well as in recordings.
His never ending appreciation of the Cretan music and his mastering of this art led to the birth of his own personal style in playing and singing the songs of this island that is still recognizable to all lovers of the Cretan music.
