Taraxias (born Georgios Gkogkas-Γεωργιος Γκογκας)is a Greek hip-hop artist. He is currently signed to the Greek Hip-Hop supergroup The Family Label.
New Clear Sonics was Taraxias first group where he was the main man. The group broke up around 1995. Taraxias then recruited Isvoleas Gelos and DJ Jimmy Dee to form A.G.
Alpha Gamma (as the group was later renamed by the Greek origins of the word "alpha"-A- and gamma-Γ-)was one of the most successful Greek hip hop groups. The group was famous for their hardcore style of rapping and Taraxias found great success. Alpha Gamma shocked the public in 2000 with the release of Neoellina Akou EP. Raw rhymes and hardcore rhymes found their way on mainstream television with the self titled, and it wasn't long before Alpha Gamma went on to release their full-length effort, Agnostophobia (2001). The shock was bigger this time; the video for Arketa Gia Na Mathenis was banned from television! With things flowing this way, their label backed out from all promotion plans and A.
