George Theodossiadis was born in Athens in 1940. He studied music and decoration. He started his career in 1960 as a disk-jockey at the Greek National Radio playing rare jazz recordings. Things got off the ground in 1963 when he began to play jazz music with his quartet on radio broadcasts. In the meantime, he composed the music for a film called 'Jealousy'. It was his first soundtrack and unveiled his jazz influences. During the following decades he composed and arranged the music for various films.
