Toufexi Markella

Markella Toufexi is born and raised in Thessaloniki (MAKEDONIA) , in Greece. Markella's Toufexi real name is Maria Toufexi
She has studied journalism, public relations, marketing and sociology and has been a reporter for "Makedonia" newspaper.Moreover, she has studied byzantine music and has participated as an actress in the State Theater of Northern Greece.
She is also a writer, having prepared a film script, "The Godess of Macedonia", which has already been submitted in the Greek Centre of Cinema and the Ministry of Culture.What is more, she is a singer, composer and lyrics' writer. Her favourite hobby is painting and more specifically iconography, thalassography and portraiture.
A big step in her singing career has been the song "Taksidiariko Pouli" which has been voted as one of the ten best 'zeimpekiko' songs; as well as the song "Hamenes Patrides", that is also submitted to the greek Ministry of Culture, alongside its videoclip which is directed by her.
