Zimiaa

ZHMIAA (meaning "damage" and pronounced "zimiaa") were formed in Athens/Greece in 1995 by members of prominent local bands Nikos Fanourakis and Yiannis Venardis. After quite some time of experimentation and member changes ZHMIAA's efforts culminated in the recording of the band's first album in year 2000.
May 2003 : release of ZHMIAA's first album by indie label olon music. The album is marked by the appearance of virtuoso clarinet player Alexandros Arkadopoulos while legendary singer Kostas Kafasis is featured on "Feggaria pseftika".
July 2007 : ZHMIAA's album "Ena Asteri" released from SONY BMG / Ethnotik with special guests Christos Dantis, Georgia Kalafati (Sugahspank/Sugah Galore) and Nikos Bardis (Diafana Krina).
