Biography

He was born in the Kallithea suburb, in Athens, in 1973. He took classic guitar lessons with Orpheas Peridis who wasn’t receiving ‘conservatory sleepiness’ when, apart from the routine exercises, presented to him once in a while his own songs.

In 1988 he took some of those songs to Manos Hatzidakis, the outcome was the release of his first album ‘I PARELASI’ from the latter’s record company –the legendary Serios- in November 1989.

It took him six years to overcome the obstacles of the Greek communal spirit (national exams, big family gatherings, appointments, uptown bands, cultural unions etc) and to release- supported by Thymios Papadopoulos- his second album titled ‘I ZOI MONO ETSI EINAI ORAIA’ in July ’95 in Sony Music. In this album he had the honor of Thanasis Veggos participation in a lonesome rap against the crowd of the nightly Posidonos Avenue.

In this same year he was called to participate in Dionysis Savopoulos’ music show ‘Anoiksiatioko kalesma’. In his next album, titled ‘HALIA’ in 1998, he made cordial acquaintances with a dog named Vaggelis in Kolonaki square, his friend’s Patokos wife, a waitress in the Greek America, his father, Her and Kaiti Garbi in a tiny narrative mosaic, that was performed in music places and universities’ atriums all over the country.

After serving in the army for two years he was back with a relative music show called ‘KaPsiMi’ preparing the ground for the album ‘KATHREFTI’ which was released in 2003.

During the same year he puts on the show ‘Enorgani gymsastiki’ in Zygos stage, in Plaka, while in 2004, along with the comics’ designers team ‘Subart’ and Zak Stefanou presents ‘Fanzin’, a music show inspired by comics.

In spring 2007, the album ‘EKSO’ , sound engineering by Vasilis Pierrakeas and 12 new songs, is released by Sony-BMG. The songs are illustrated in the booklet by 12 new painters.

In autumn he starts in Zygos stage the show ‘K-13’ which is going to be recorded and filmed and will be the base for the double CD-DVD THE EXTRAORDINARY ADVENTURES OF PHOIVOS DELIVORIAS and which Sony releases in November 2008.

At the same time, he is in charge of the production of Maro’s Markellou first album titled ‘Koritsi gia spiti’ (Lyra 2008)
