Litra Maro

Μάρω Λύτρα (Maro Ransom) is a greek Opera entertainer from Lefkada and Messologki. She was born in November of 1970 in her real life and in November of 2004 in her career.

The first 35 yerars of her life she lived in Montreal of Canada working while trying to find her way to stardom. She studied at the McGill University Conservatory of Music. Then she decided to “reveal” her talents at a greek reality how called “Fame Story” which was specialised in “revealing” talents. That was when she cheated on her then husband as she had sex with Kostas Karafotis, the Adraklas (=Man with capital M) of Fame Story at the time. She went on sleeping with dozens of men at the time, but she was feeling guilty for her cheating as she didn’t want to hurt her husband.

Right away she took part at her teacher’s, Julie Massino, CD-single Όσο Η Γη Γυρίζει (As Earth Spins Around) which was certified gold.

In 2005 she released her debut flop album with the title Μικρές Αμαρτίες (Little Sins). The first single was called Υπάρχει Άλλη (There’s Another She) famous for its controversial video picturing a hot-as-hell Maro Litra singing on a table. Fortunately, it didn’t sell because she was wearing clothes for the first time. Next singles were Θυμήσου (Remember) and Θελω Να Σου Πω (I Want To Tell You), the latter being a duet with Κωστας Καραφώτης (Kostas Karalight) her lover. Ironically he dumped her 2 years ago when he cheated on her.

She achieved a nomination for best new artist at the well-respected MAD Video Music wars of 2006. She didn’t win of course…
