Biography

 Konstantinos Thalassohoris is one of the singers and song writers of the new greek music generation, which had been distinguished from the very first moment of his appearence. So much so that his musical background showed not only his versatile talent but his love and passion for studying music and song, which made him a household name with many of his musical peers.


Originally born in Peristeri (Athens), his musical studies started at the age of nine at the “Hellenic School of Music” and continued at the “National School of Music” in Athens. During his adolescence living in Nafplio, he and his friends created their own music band and had their first performance with great success.


At the age of 18, he won his first award at the music contest of Argolis. While Konstantino was in college at the "Marketing School" in Thessaloniki, he performed all four years in sundried boats, small cafes, and rembetika (stores with live folk Greek music). Within that period in Thassaloniki, he composed "To Forema to Thalassi" (The Sea Blue Dress). The song became an instant hit in the music industry! After receiving his diploma, he served in the military (as the law obligates) and 21 months later he returned to Athens in 2003 to sing with Yiannis Argiris at the historical music stage “ESPERIDES” (evening parties), the place where the age of “neo kima” (the so-called new Greek music wave in the age of 60`s). Also performing there were Yiannis Poulopoulos, Maria Farantouri, Rena Koumioti, Vasilis Papakonstantinou, Sofia Vossou and so many others important artists & expressionists of that music wave.


Also at the same period, he participated in the musical and theater team of Stamatis Kraounakis at “ATHINAIDA”. Athinaida is an eleven-part team that studies under his value advice where they were selected after a strict audition. In March of 2004, Konstantinos convinced for his talent could take him further, participated in the second season of “FAME STORY," a talent show where other singers compete for a three month span in hopes to win a recording contract. While competing on "Fame Story," he consistently received nice reviews from the public, his competitors, teachers, and judges. After the show ended, he signed his first contract with the music firm “HEAVEN” and he became a part of the 14 maxi cd singles compilation, singing songs in arrangement from the Greek and international discography and had a few recorded songs in the “Fame Story the Album” with 8 songs in arrangement and his own - “To Forema to Thalassi" – (The Sea Blue Dress).


After Fame Story wrapped up in the summer, Konstantino along with the other players of the show & the Fame Story band embarked on a Worldwide Tour, touring in Greece, Cyprus, the United States, and Canada under the orchestration guidance of Antonio Gounaris. After the tour wrapped up, he signed a new contract in 2005 with the music firm "LYRA" and then next step was to record his own L.P. - which was titled "KATI DYNATO" (Something Strong). In that CD, he sung melodies of Yianni Spanos, Nick Papadopoulos and Yiannis Nikolaou, and lyrics from Michaels Avataggelos, Stelios Rokkos, Lakis Papadopoulos, Vicky Yerothodorou, and Dimitris Livanos. Including in the CD were two more songs - "Bradia" (Nights) and "Rouho Petameno" (Thrown Away Clothes)- both composed by Konstantino. He was later put in five more CD collections for songs, "I Syllogi" (The Collection), "Mono Gia Andres" (Only for Men), "Nixtoperpatimata" (Night Walks); for the Summer 2006 album, and "Karoake Fame Hits Volume 3" with three songs.


In 2006, "To Forema to Thalassi" was voted "Best Summer Song," from Music Corner Magazine after they had compiled an online poll.


Konstantino has collaborated with many artists such as Natasa Theodoridou at "FOS" Yianni Spanos and Anastasia Moutsatsou at "HAMAM" Anesti Manta at "LIFE" Giorgo Aloupoyiannis at "HARAMA" in the winter and summer in Patra and in several concerts in Greece and last but not least, with his band, at Architecture - Oxygono - Avlea - Ghost & Arxitektoniki (Gazi).


Konstantino's future plans include releasing his new CD, "Pos To Kaneis" (How Do You Do It), as it is the first single off the album.
